San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various ramp and lane closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) in Stockton for maintenance operations. Work will occur as follows:
Interstate 5
Overnight, full connector ramp closure from southbound I-5 to SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for bridge work at Stockton Channel Viaduct beginning Wednesday, August 28, through Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Overnight, full on and off-ramp closures on southbound I-5 at Fremont Street beginning Wednesday, August 28, through Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Overnight closure of the #3 (middle), #4 (middle-right) and #5 (right) lanes of southbound I-5 from Fremont Street to the Stockton Channel Viaduct for bridge work beginning Wednesday, August 28, through Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
All work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
