Negative Declaration

Ulster County - The New Paltz Central School District (CSD), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bond Referendum will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the a proposal by the New Paltz CSD for a Bond Referendum to secure funding for improvements to four school facilities throughout the District (Proposed Action). A description of the work elements anticipated to be funded through the Bond Referendum are provided below.

1. New Paltz High School
   • New Aquatics Center
   • New turf field and scoreboard for Floyd Patterson
   • New tennis courts
   • New eight-lane track
   • Improve drainage and irrigation for baseball field and softball field
   • Improve irrigation for competition field
   • Concessions, bathrooms, new goal posts, field storage, multi-purpose field lighting, and security lighting
   • near the football field
   • Home bleachers, press box, and visitor bleachers
   • New walkways
   • Window and door upgrades
   • Locker room renovations
   • Boiler room upgrades
   • Air conditioning upgrades
   • Science room gas bib repairs
   • Ceiling tile replacement
   • Interior lighting upgrades
   • Bus garage and facilities
     • Remove and replace rubber roof
     • Protection from falling snow
2. New Paltz Middle School
   • Tennis court, grass, and drainage replacement
   • Basketball court resurfacing (for general play area)
   • Exterior staircase repair (3 sets) • Grease trap replacement (x2)
   • Bathroom upgrades
   • Auditorium A/V - new
   • Air conditioning upgrades
   • Science room gas bib replacements
   • Interior lighting upgrades
3. Lenape Elementary School
   • Parking area - asphalt repair/replacement
   • Roof replacement
   • Window and door upgrades
   • Grease trap replacement
   • Water storage tank replacements
   • Interior lighting upgrades
4. Duzine Elementary School
   • Grease trap replacement
   • Interior lighting upgrades
