Troopers in Painted Post investigate a serious injury accident

On July 14, 2024, at approximately 10:37 a.m., troopers from SP Painted Post responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident in the town of Campell with injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 2009 Subaru was traveling west on Woodcock Road when it exited the roadway on the north shoulder, overturning and striking a tree. The operator, an 18-year-old female, was Life Net flighted to Strong Memorial Hospital for serious injuries.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Campbell Fire Department, Painted Post Fire Department, AMR Ambulance, and LifeNet of New York.

This is an ongoing investigation.
