REDCAMIF recognizes Pro Mujer's financial transparency in Nicaragua

Pro Mujer Nicaragua was recognized by theCentral American and Caribbean Microfinance Network (REDCAMIF) for reporting its financial information transparently and achieving a "B" rating, marking a milestone for the organization.

Pro Mujer has been promoting the financial inclusion of Nicaraguan women for 28 years. It landed in the country in 1996, and has since established 10 offices located throughout the country, aiming to improve the quality of life for women in vulnerable conditions in rural and urban areas. From the beginning, Pro Mujer has provided access to the financial system, as well as opportunities for skills development and health and wellness services.

In 2023, Pro Mujer Nicaragua provided financial services to over 35,600 women and recorded significant results at the national level:

• 60% of women accessed credit for the first time
• 98% report an increase in their income thanks to Pro Mujer
• 99% say their quality of life has improved thanks to Pro Mujer
• 96% improved their ability to manage their expenses
• 97% say their ability to achieve a financial goal has improved thanks to Pro Mujer

REDCAMIF's recognition not only strengthens financial transparency, but also boosts the work of Pro Mujer in Nicaragua.
