The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has met with the State Committee for Coordination and Management of the National Civil Protection System (CEDOD), at the headquarters of the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Emergencies.

The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, visits the headquarters of the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Emergencies, where he has been informed of the work that this body is carrying out in the management of the DANA (Pool Moncloa/Fernando Calvo)
The chief executive was informed of the work being carried out by the CEDOD in coordinating the actions of the different public administrations and other bodies involved in the management of the DANA that has hit our country. Afterwards, the president went to the National Centre for Monitoring and Coordination of Emergencies (CENEM).
Pedro Sánchez had previously visited the headquarters of the State Meteorological Agency, accompanied by the Third Vice-President of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, where he held a working meeting with the heads of this organisation.

During the meeting, the President of the Government was able to learn first-hand about the situation of the DANA affecting our country in real time, and the sequence of its evolution from last Monday until today. He also took part in a telematic connection with the territorial centres of the AEMET.
