Exciting news! Applications for the 2025 Raleigh Environmental Awards opened Nov. 1. The awards celebrate people, businesses, and organizations leading the way in climate action and community engagement to make a positive impact.

Nominations are evaluated based on:

• Specific criteria including innovation, creativity, and originality

• Environmental stewardship

• Leadership

• Effectiveness

• Sustainability elements (how the applicant has improved social, economic, and ecological conditions)

Applicants and nominees must be residents of or operate within the City of Raleigh or the Raleigh extra territorial jurisdiction. Also, applicants and nominees in the City's utility service area and students in the Wake County Public School System can participate. Applications close Feb. 28.

The City will recognize winners at the Earth Day celebration on April 25, 2025, at Dix Park. Please save the date and join us at this free community celebration with music, activities, and games for all ages.
