TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County I 95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces overnight multi-lane closures on northbound I-95 (Tuesday through Thursday) for bridge work. There will be overnight lane closures and rolling stoppages on northbound and southbound Route 896 from Sunday and Wednesday for bridge work. There will be daytime lane closures on northbound I-95 for truck access (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Continuous right lane closure on southbound SR 896 over I-95 remains in place.

· Tuesday, November 5th through Thursday, November 7th: Overnight Multi-lane Closure, Northbound I-95 between the Toll Plaza and the Route 896 Interchange:

· Tuesday, November 5th (9PM - 5AM)

· Wednesday, November 6th through Thursday, November 7th (7PM - 5AM)

· Tuesday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 6th: Overnight Rolling Stoppages, Southbound I-95 off ramp to Northbound Route 896, (11PM - 5AM)

· Monday, November 4th, Wednesday, November 6th, and Thursday, November 7th: Daytime Lane Closure, Northbound I-95 between the Route 896 Interchange and the Welcome Center (9AM - 6PM)

Route 896 IMPACTS
· Sunday, November 3rd through Wednesday, November 6th: Overnight Rolling Stoppages, Northbound Route 896 between I-95 and Welsh Tract Road (11PM - 5AM)

· Sunday November 3rd: Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Route 896 between Welsh Tract Road and the I-95 NB on ramp (9PM - 6AM)

· Monday November 4th: Overnight Rolling Stoppages, Southbound Route 896 between Welsh Tract Road and the I-95 Northbound on ramp (11AM - 5AM)

· Continuous through Friday, November 29th: Around the Clock Right Lane Closure, Southbound Route 896 over I-95.
