MEDINA COUNTY- (Thursday, June 27, 2024) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect roadways in Medina County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting and is subject to change.
Leatherman Road bridge repairs - Leatherman Road in the city of Wadsworth, between Blake Road and Thelma Drive, is closed for 30 days for a bridge repair project. The detour route will be Leatherman Road north to Reimer Road west to SR 57 south to College Street/Greenwich Road to Leatherman Road, and reverse.NEW IMPACTS

Ridgewood Road culvert replacement - NEW IMPACTS -Ridgewood Road, at SR 94, will close Monday, July 8 for a culvert replacement. The detour route will be Ridgewood Rd east to SR 94 north to SR 18 east to State Rd south to Ridgewood Rd, and reverse. Estimated completion: Friday, July 12, 2024State Route 18 major reconstruction -SR 18, from just west of Alber Drive to Nettleton Road, will have single lane closures as crews widen and reconstruct the roadway.CONTINUING IMPACTS

State Route 18 bridge replacements -SR 18, between SR 83 and Bryenton Road, will have single lane closures for 225 days to complete project work. Traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic signals. Lane widths will be reduced to 12' during construction. Estimated completion: November 2024State Route 83 resurfacing - SR 83, from the Outlet Mall drive to the Lodi Corporation limits, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: September 2024State Route 162 resurfacing -SR 162, from SR 94 to Medina Line Road, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers when necessary. Estimated completion: August 2024Interstate 271 resurfacing -I-271, from I-71 to the Summit County line, will have intermittent lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews will begin repairs on the SR 94 interchange ramps, and traffic will be maintained using half-width construction while maintaining at least a 12' lane width. Crews will also begin performing embankment work along various guardrail locations throughout the project limits. Estimated completion: October 2024
