WAYNE COUNTY- (Thursday, June 27, 2024) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect roadways in Wayne County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting and is subject to change.
State Route 21 Major Rehabilitation - SR 21, from the Stark County line to the Summit County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction as part of a major reconstruction project, which will include full-depth pavement replacement, bridge maintenance, culvert and drainage replacements, and safety improvements at four intersections along the project.NEW IMPACTS

U.S. Route 30 resurfacing -U.S. 30, from the Ashland County line to the city of Wooster, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. An 11' lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated completion: October 2024State Route 57 & State Route 604 intersection improvement - NEW IMPACTS -The SR 57 & SR 604 intersection will close Monday, July 8 for a roundabout project. The project will convert the current two-way stop-controlled intersection into a single lane roundabout. The detour routes are as follows:Estimated completion: October 2024
State Route 83 Major Rehabilitation - SR 83, from just south of U.S. 30 to Milltown Road, will have daily lane closures for final pavement repairs and resurfacing, striping, concrete median wall repairs, and miscellaneous finalization project work. Traffic will be maintained in one 11' lane in each direction at all times and traffic will be separated by portable concrete barrier wall.Estimated completion: June 2024
U.S. 250 bridge replacement -U.S. 250, between Honeytown Road and E Messner Road, will have single lane closures for a bridge replacement project. Traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic signals. Estimated completion: October 2024State Route 585 resurfacing -SR 585, from just west of SR 57 to SR 604, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times by flaggers.
