From the jungle to Wolverhampton! Care home hosts its own ‘I’m a Celebrity...’

A local care home brought the Australian jungle to Wolverhampton with its very own version of 'I'm a Celebrity.'

With I'm a Celebrity back on screens and knowing how much the residents at Care UK's Foxland Grange, on Wergs Road, love to watch the popular show, the team decided to give the residents their very own jungle experience.

Inspired by 'I'm a Celebrity', the residents faced a number of bushtucker trials, including how long can you hold a snake and spider.

Valerie Parker, a resident at Foxland Grange, said: "This was such a different type of activity seeing the wonderful animals that were well presented. It was fascinating to hear that one of the owls we saw was in Harry Potter! I cannot wait for another animal day within the home."

Kat Anderson, General Manager at Foxland Grange, said: "Here at Foxland Grange, we're always looking for new and exciting activities for residents to get involved with.

"The residents always enjoy watching I'm a Celebrity together, so had a wonderful time experiencing it for themselves. The residents were incredibly brave and had such a laugh!

"Everyone had a wonderful time and we're looking forward to watching the show this year!"

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Foxland Grange, incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The building has been configured into a series of neighbourhoods to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
