PALMDALE, CA - Get ready to sparkle, Palmdale! The City warmly invites residents of all ages to light up the night at the Poncitlán Square Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 4, starting at 4 p.m. at 38315 9th St. East. The City will flip the switch as the sun sets at 4:45 p.m., filling the square with festive lights and officially kicking off the holiday season. Make sure to arrive early to grab a spot and catch all the holiday magic!
"This ceremony is one of my favorite winter events in Palmdale," said Mayor Austin Bishop. "It's a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, enjoy the beautiful lights and celebrate the spirit of the holidays with friends and family."
Residents of all ages can enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and yummy snacks while being serenaded with holiday classics by carolers. As a special treat for children, the City will hand out goodie bags while supplies last, and Santa will make a surprise appearance.
"I love seeing the joy and excitement this event will bring to our community," said Mayor Pro Tem Richard J. Loa. "The festive lights and decorations at Poncitlán Square create a magical atmosphere that everyone can enjoy."
