BSNC Appoints Jeff Shirley as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Shirley as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Shirley joined BSNC in 2016 and previously served as Interim CFO and Vice President of Operations.

"Jeff has extensive experience in the business and financial aspects of Alaska Native corporations and brings great value to BSNC's accounting department," said President Cindy Massie. "As a leadership team member, his familiarity with BSNC will benefit our shareholders and our mission to improve the quality of life of Our People through economic development while protecting our land and preserving our culture and heritage."

As SVP and CFO, Shirley will oversee all accounting activities, financial strategy, and managing and reporting all financial-related activities for the company. As Vice President, Shirley drove profitable growth from operations and led digital transformation initiatives. Shirley is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Saint Cloud State University. He currently serves on the Armed Services YMCA of Alaska board and as Treasurer of Nine Star Education and Employment Services.
