Training available for non-partisan Election Day volunteers

The Office of University Relations is hosting a non-partisan Election Day volunteer training on Thursday, Oct. 24, from noon to 1 p.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in AMU 137. 

All students, faculty and staff interested in serving as non-partisan Election Day volunteers for the November 2024 election must participate in this training. 

The Office of University Relations is seeking 50 Marquette students, faculty and staff to volunteer for a minimum of two hours. OUR is coordinating volunteer voter assistance and support at the AMU polling site, as well as several off-campus polling site locations that serve the Marquette community. Interested Marquette students, faculty and staff will be trained as non-partisan Election Day volunteers to provide assistance to students and community members ahead of the fall election and on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. 

Non-partisan Election Day volunteers are not poll workers.

The training is free, but registration for this event is required. A light lunch will be served at the trainings.
