JULY 15TH STORM UPDATES

JULY 15, 2024 - Crews are assessing damage throughout the City of Bettendorf after a strong storm swept through the area on July 15, 2024. We will post updates here of any closures/issues. Please be patient as we begin clean-up efforts.

UPDATES
JULY 16, 2024 at 2pm - The traffic lights located at Interstate 74 and State/Grant Streets are now back on.

JULY 16, 2024 at 8:25am
- Grant Street from 8th Street to 12th Street is back open, with one lane open to traffic from 8th Street to 10th Street.

JULY 15, 2024 at 9:45pm - The City will collect tree/brush material that is:

  • Under six inches in diameter
  • Cut to a maximum length of five feet
  • Placed at the curb in front of your residence

NOTE: Tree debris, branches, trunks, and stumps resulting from the removal of trees by a tree service contractor must be removed by a licensed hauler at the expense of the owner or tree service.

- Grant Street from 8th Street to 12th Street (west of Interstate 74) is closed due to fallen trees and downed power lines. Please stay clear of this area so crews can assess the damage and clear debris.
