State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 8/22- 8/28

On August 22, 2024, at about 10:03 p.m., State Police of Wilton stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Wilton, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Christine Mrzyglod, 59, of Ballston Spa, NY. Mrzyglod was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where she recorded a 0.11% BAC. Further investigation discovered that Mrzyglod has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued tickets returnable to the Wilton Town Court on September 17, 2024.

On August 25, 2024, at about 10:25 p.m., State Police of Chestertown responded to the area of Hayesburg Road in Horicon, NY, for the reports of a vehicle operating erratically. Troopers located a vehicle matching the caller's description and stopped it on Duell Hill Road in Horicon, NY. The driver was identified as Helena A. Rambone, 34, of Athol, NY. Rambone was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Chestertown for processing, where she refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of her blood. Further investigation discovered that Rambone has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued tickets returnable to the Horicon Town Court on September 18, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On August 27, 2024, at about 2:11 a.m. State Police of Schuylerville responded to the area of I-87 in Malta, NY for the report of a one-car crash. On arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied. The investigation identified the driver as Jon D. Mueller, 28, of Stillwater, NY. Mueller had been picked up near the crash scene by a family member and was located at a home in Mechanicville, NY, where he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing, where he recorded a 0.14% BAC. Further investigation discovered Mueller has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on September 5, 2024.

On August 6:17 p.m., State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway in the area of State Route 7 in Colonie, NY. The driver was identified as George Robinson, 49, of Troy, NY. Robinson was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.12% BAC. Further investigation discovered Robinson has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Colonie Town Court on September 16, 2024, and released to a sober party.

On August 29, 2024, at about 4:31 a.m. State Police of Fonda stopped a vehicle on Bliss Road in Oppenheim, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was witnessed attempting to switch seats with the adult passenger and identified as Michael A. Vogel, 26, of Saint Johnsville, NY. Along with the adult passenger, two children under the age of 16 were located in the vehicle. Vogel was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra's Law) and numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Fonda for processing, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Vogel was then turned over to the Fulton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
