On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the City of Florence's Environmental Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) will hold its annual Black & White Recycling Event at Siuslaw Middle School. We're offering Florence residents free disposal of certain items, thanks to our partnership with County Transfer and Recycling and Lane County.

Items Accepted:

• Propane tanks 5 gallons or smaller
• Freon appliances, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, heat pumps, air conditioners, water coolers, etc.
• Tires that have 19.5" rims or smaller, 5 per household
