GBI Investigates Officer Involved Shooting in Warner Robins

Warner Robins, GA (August 13, 2024) - At the request of the Warner Robins Police Department, GBI agents are investigating an officer involved shooting in Warner Robins, GA. One man, later identified as Mikhal Anthony Concepcion, age 20, of Byron, Peach County, GA, was shot and killed in the incident. No officers were injured in this incident.


On Monday, August 12, 2024, at about 7:00 p.m., Warner Robins Police Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Sixth St., Warner Robins, Houston County, GA, in reference to a man with a gun. When officers arrived, they encountered Concepcion. Concepcion fired at the officers and into a home and tried to forcefully enter the home. Officers then shot at Concepcion, hitting him. Concepcion was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Concepcion will be taken to the GBI Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed.


The investigation is active and ongoing. Once complete, the case file will be given to the Houston County District Attorney's Office for review.
