They lied: Audio shows Biden DID have medical event in Las Vegas

It's always best to be skeptical of what your government tells you, but at this point, one has to wonder if even ONE THING this administration tells us is the truth. Day after day, it's just one demonstrable lie after another, even about the most consequential issues of our day, such as whether our own President is fit for office at a time of incipient global conflict.

Karine Jean-Pierre's press briefings are a joke. On Monday afternoon, FOX NEWS' Peter Doocy pressed hard, questioning her sharply about the Biden-Harris record at the border (KJ-P laughably blamed Republicans and former President Trump for "getting in the way"), the strained relationship between President Biden and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (the President "respects" her), and --- most pertinent to our discussion today --- the newly uncovered audio that shows Biden really did have a medical emergency in Las Vegas after all, one that was serious enough that they were preparing for his motorcade to take him to a hospital. She flatly denied this, still blaming his aborted Las Vegas trip on a positive test for COVID.

Here's how that exchange went…

As you see, Jean-Pierre moved the conversation from a specific question about Biden to COVID as a general issue, saying, "People are still testing positive for COVID, but because of this President, he was able to put forward a comprehensive...way to move forward from this pandemic. And now we have vaccines, and now we are in a different place with this pandemic; it is behind us. And that's because of this President and what he was able to do."

Way to deftly change the subject from Biden's medical emergency to COVID vaccines! (Which, by the way, were developed and distributed under Trump; Biden and Harris both had the jab before even taking office, then taking credit.) But as long as KJ-P did that, we would've followed up with this question, just as a side note: "Madam Press Secretary, since we now have vaccines and the pandemic is behind us, why are people still testing positive and apparently sick enough to need to be transported to the hospital?"

Anyway, this press conference was yet another frustrating time-waster, another smokescreen. It seems all this crew ever offers is our chance to see the propaganda machine at work and find out what its next phony line is going to be. (Come to think of it, that's the only reason we bother to watch these briefings.) In this case, the line KJ-P handed Peter Doocy does not explain the audio recording about a medical emergency involving President Biden.

THE DAILY BEAST obtained this audio and reported early on the emergency. (I can't remember the last time we linked to anything from THE DAILY BEAST, but as they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day, and this appears to be one of those times.) It came in response to a public records request to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The radio transmissions occurred on July 17, before, as they reported, "the trip to Las Vegas came to an abrupt end." It was later that day that the White House announced Biden had tested positive for COVID.

The audio documents officers of the Las Vegas police quickly clearing roads and securing the perimeter of Valley Hospital, the facility that had been cleared in advance and placed on standby to treat President Biden for some medical issue. The local police seem to have handled this very smoothly. This is an example of the need for close cooperation we've talked about lately, in a very different context, between the Secret Service and local law enforcement. Of course, as you know, President Biden was not taken to the hospital after all that fast preparation.

Later that day, KJ-P released a statement saying that the President had tested positive for COVID-19. "He is vaccinated and boosted, and he is experiencing mild symptoms. He will be returning to Delaware where he will self-isolate and will continue to carry out all of his duties during that time."

(All of his duties? What exactly ARE those?)

Recall that it was June 27 that Biden had performed horrendously in his debate against Trump. Biden had continued to insist that he was "in it to win it," but four days after his reported COVID diagnosis and aborted Vegas trip, he abruptly dropped out of the race in a letter posted to X.

It's a shame we can't take the White House's word that Biden's problem was just a positive COVID test with mild symptoms, but their credibility is unfortunately shot. THE DAILY BEAST expressed no overt skepticism of their story, but former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino certainly did.

In his Monday podcast, he noted that the story was originally broken by Laura Loomer, who had been ridiculed for her "conspiracy theory," emphasizing that this very real occurrence "explains everything about the coup" against President Biden. (And, yes, it was a coup; Biden himself admitted as much during a weekend TV interview, explaining that it was based on the polls.) Bongino didn't report on this right away --- he follows the same rule we do on that --- but after getting what he now deems confirmation, he believes there's a huge cover-up on this.

He credited Jennifer Van Laar at REDSTATE for her reporting on this story, about audio recordings clearly showing law enforcement dealing with a "POTUS 421" (medical event) and "Code 3 transport."

When you listen to the audio, he said, "it's absolutely clear, from a guy with 12 years of experience doing Secret Service motorcade, what's happening here is the transportation advance agent for the Secret Service, the guy responsible for the motorcade route, is trying to take his asset from what we call the primary route --- the route we were gonna use to get from Air Force One to the site --- to the hospital route. That's not the same thing."

But since the Secret Service agent is trying to keep this thing, um, SECRET, he radios to just say "Are you available for a phone call?" There's a pause as that phone conversation takes place off the air. Then you hear a local cop saying, "Right now, POTUS is 421...so we're kind of waiting to see how this is shaping out."

Of course, Bongino knows he can't diagnose President Biden from this, and neither can we. But as he said, "It's kind of a good idea to be open with the folks [the President] works for about the man's health condition when he's in his 80s. If he had an incident, what is it? Is he okay? Was it serious, was it not?"

Say, isn't it conceivable that they were planning to take Biden to the hospital simply because he had tested positive for COVID, just to be on the safe side? Wasn't that enough? Bongino says no. Air Force One has a medical suite on board, and he's got "a cadre of doctors" around him. If those doctors are saying it's time to get the motorcade lined up to take him to the hospital, it's a big deal. "Something happened," he said, "and they know about it."

So, what does Kamala know about this? She's been lying for months about Biden's mental condition; has she been hiding this as well? Knowing the Democrat Party, we may be sure Biden is still in office for political reasons only, so we have to wonder how it suits their election strategy to refrain from using the 25^thAmendment --- which they'd do if they were honest --- and putting Kamala in the top spot now. One guess: because then she might have to be more visible, more unscripted, and they need to hide her as much as possible before the election. Right now, she gets away with appearing only at campaign rallies reading the same speech off a teleprompter at every performance. And Biden's at the beach eating ice cream. Essentially, we have no President.

If space aliens landed tomorrow and said, "Take us to your leader," what would we do? I think I'd take them to Trump.
