Valentina Matvienko Re-elected as Speaker of Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation

Valentina Matvienkowas unanimously re-elected the Speaker of the Federation Council at the 575th meeting of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (autumn session 2024).

During her speech, speaking about the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, the Speaker stressed the importance of senators' participation in the work of international organizations, strengthening integration ties with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
