Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center Moves to Permanent Location

Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center Moves to Permanent Location

GREELEY, Colo. - The Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Center will move to 1150 North 25th Avenue on December 3. The GROW Center offers a low-cost way to recycle organic waste like tree branches, grass clippings and untreated wood.

The center's previous location was sold in the fall of 2023. In the year since, it has moved several times while city staff searched for a long-term lease. The new, permanent site is bigger and easier to access for residents.

Organic waste - including "green" waste like grass, leaves and garden clippings - makes up the most waste in landfills. Recycling these materials helps reduce landfill waste and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. The green waste is turned into compost, which helps improve soil, saves water, and reduces the need for chemical fertilizers.
