December 11, 2024 | From City of New Orleans
On Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at 7 a.m., the Department of Parks & Parkways will close the Interstate 10 on ramps of Tulane Avenue (I-10 East) and Orleans Avenue (I-10 West) to complete vegetation and tree pruning. Vehicular traffic will be detoured from the Tulane Avenue entrance further eastbound on North Claiborne Avenue to access the next on ramp at Dumaine Street. The detour on Orleans Avenue will direct traffic further west bound on South Claiborne Avenue to access the next on ramp past Gravier Street. This work will address trimming of intentionally planted trees and palms at these locations and removal of invasive vegetation to improve visibility for drivers.
The Office of Strategic Engagement wants to ensure that public safety remains in the forefront of everyone's mind, as it remains our top priority. Please follow all temporary signage. On ramps will resume normal activity by 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14.
