School Street Closure Notice

Due to mass timber material delivery delays the Jesup Memorial Library Project has been able to keep traffic flowing on School Street for the majority of the summer. The library has received confirmation on a delivery schedule beginning Monday September 16, and they expect weekly delivery of mass timber ending in November.

Beginning on September 16th the Police Department will be closing School Street from Mount Desert to Newton Way more often and for longer durations to accommodate these deliveries and the equipment necessary to maneuver the large timbers.
