The Santa Fe Public Library celebrates the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos with the community this October and November.

Join us in placing pictures of departed loved ones, letters to those we have lost, and other keepsakes on our community ofrendas (altars) in their honor. This practice of ancestral veneration and healing will continue throughout October at all Santa Fe Public Library locations.

To submit a story or photo, email [email protected] or bring photos, stories and other items to one of the library information desks.

Contributions for the community ofrendas are being accepted now until the end of October 2024.

Dia de Los Muertos Open House

Saturday, Oct. 26 3-5 p.m. at the Southside Library.

Dia de Los Muertos Annual Community Celebration

Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Museum of International Folk Art. Free Museum admission all day.

Dia de Muerto on The Plaza

Friday, Nov. 1 from 4-9 p.m. on The Plaza.

Saturday, Nov. 2 from 12-10 p.m. on The Plaza.
