Mohawk River Project
Anna Davidson, senior research associate and lecturer in natural resources in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and graduate student Anna Mehlhorn created the art in this exhibitas part of a capstone course they taught that intertwined art, science and culture in the study of the Mohawk River.
Davidson and her students traveled to communities along the watershed soliciting their concerns, hopes, data and other messages about the river. Several of the pieces in the exhibit, including a 15-foot canoe, are covered in messages from these participants.
