Honor Loved Ones Through SGMC Health’s Lights of Love

The SGMC Health Foundation is excited to launch its annual Lights of Love Campaign, an opportunity for the community to celebrate and honor those they cherish while supporting vital healthcare services in the region. This heartwarming tradition invites individuals to make an end-of-year gift to honor or memorialize someone special in their lives.

As part of the campaign, the Lights of Love Tree at SGMC Health Main was illuminated on December 3rd, creating a festive display of love and generosity. Each sparkling light on the tree represents a gift made in honor or memory of a particular person.

For a minimum contribution of $25, participants can honor a loved one and designate their support to the area of the health system that is most meaningful to them. Donations can be made online at sgmcfoundation.org or mailed to the SGMC Health Foundation.

All honorees will be recognized on an electronic display in the lobby at SGMC Health Main and on the Foundation's website, allowing the community to join in celebrating their legacy. Upon request, an acknowledgment card can be sent to the honoree's family to share the thoughtful gesture, with the gift amount remaining undisclosed. Additionally, donors contributing $250 or more per honoree will receive a beautifully engraved ornament featuring the individual's name, serving as a lasting keepsake to commemorate their meaningful contribution.

"This holiday campaign is about celebrating the spirit of love and connection within our community," said Hilary Gibbs, Vice President and Chief Development Officer at SGMC Health. "Your generosity not only honors someone special but also helps us provide extraordinary care to those who need it most."

Whether you wish to honor a loved one's legacy or celebrate someone dear, your donation to the Lights of Love Campaign brings health, hope, and healing to patients and their families. Each gift, large or small, strengthens the Foundation's mission to support quality healthcare at SGMC Health.

To participate, visit sgmcfoundation.org or mail your donation to the SGMC Health Foundation at PO Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603 by December 31, 2024.
