July 23 Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold Certifies the State’s 2024 State Primary and CD 4 Congressional Vacancy Election

Denver, July 23, 2024 - Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold has announced the certification of the 2024 State Primary and CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Election, making the results of the election official and final.
"This concludes our second successful election of the year, and I thank all Coloradans who have participated in our democratic process," said Secretary Griswold. "As always, thanks also to the many county clerks, election workers and judges, and Department of State employees for their dedication to making sure Colorado has the best elections in the nation."
After the election, the Secretary of State's office worked with Colorado's county clerks to complete a bipartisan risk-limiting audit that verified the results of the election. After the audit, each county's bipartisan canvass board certified the election results. The canvass boards then submitted the final results to the Secretary of State's office.
Returning a mail ballot was the preferred method for voters with 99.24% of voters choosing to cast their mail ballot during the 2024 State Primary and CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Election - accounting for 981,137 total ballots returned - and 0.76% of voters choosing to vote in-person - 7,493 total ballots returned.

Total Active Voters: 3,872,503
Turnout among Active Voters: 25.53%
Ballots cast by Unaffiliated Voters: 348,101 (35.21% of total ballots cast)
Ballots cast in Democratic Primaries: 504,396 (51.02% of total ballots cast)
Ballots cast in Republican Primaries: 482,759 (48.83% of total ballots cast)
1,404 voters used TXT2Cure to cure a signature or ID discrepancy with their ballot in the 2024 State Primary and CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Primary Election.
