Andrew Gavin Named to I-AAA Executive Committee

SIUE Director of Athletics Andrew Gavin has been named to the Executive Committee for the Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association. Gavin is entering his second full school year as the Cougars' Director of Athletics.

Division I-AAA represents non-football playing Division I institutions.

Gavin is an at-large representative, representing not only SIUE, but also the Ohio Valley Conference.

"I am grateful and thrilled to have the opportunity to represent both SIUE and the Ohio Valley Conference on the 2024-25 DI-AAA ADA Executive Committee," Gavin said. "College athletics has never changed at a more rapid pace, and having a seat at the table among my peers in I-AAA provides a unique opportunity to stay informed and provide input at a national level while guiding SIUE Athletics into our next era."

Gavin will participate in meetings to discuss and share input on national issues related to I-AAA and Division I athletics.

Prior to coming to SIUE, Gavin served on the Board of Directors for the Division II Athletics Directors Association as 2nd Vice President and was in line to assume the Division II ADA presidency.
