Officers Arrest Three and Recover Firearm and Ammunition While Serving Warrant

On Monday, September 30th, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force (YVSF) in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police conducted a warrant service at 95 Willowwood St., Dorchester, resulting in the arrest of 20-year-old Syncere Lindsay, of Hyde Park, and two 17-year-old juvenile males on arrest warrants for various offenses.

After carrying out the arrest warrants, Officers executed a search warrant of the apartment they were located in and recovered a Springfield Armory .45- APC firearm, with one (1) round in the chamber, and a large capacity magazine containing ten (10) rounds of ammunition. Officers also recovered a large package of crack cocaine and an assortment of pills.

Following the search warrant, one of the 17-year-old males was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute. Additionally, he will be arraigned for an outstanding warrant including the charge of Delinquent to Wit; Probation/Parole Violation.

The second 17-year-old male was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for an outstanding warrant including the charge of Delinquent to Wit; Probation/Parole Violation.

Syncere Lindsay was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for an outstanding warrant including the charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.
