Parking Changes Improve Traffic Flow and Safety

The City has recently implemented and/or expanded parking restrictions in three locations: Pointview Drive, Bishop Drive and Granby Place.

• Pointview Drive: Parking is now prohibited on northbound Pointview Drive to southbound Pointview Drive between Brisbane and Fairdale Avenues. The change will help improve traffic flow during drop-off and pick-up times at Pointview Elementary School (720 Pointview Dr.).

• Bishop Drive: Parking is no longer allowed on the south side of Bishop Drive as drivers approach State St. Reducing parking to one side of the street helps reduce potential conflicts due to the existing curvature of the street.

• Granby Place: The previously-existing parking ban on the east side of Granby Place has been extended on both sides of the intersection with Waterton Drive. The extension alleviates sight distance concerns for westbound traffic on Waterton Drive.
