Park Updates:
-
We're excited to announce that the Yauger Park Path Paving project is now complete. The new pathways-spanning about a third of a mile-are fully ADA-compliant, providing an improved experience for all visitors, whether walking or using wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, or wagons. Additionally, an emergency turnaround has been added to the Alta Street parking lot, designed to accommodate large emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks. This area is now clearly marked as a no-parking zone, and any vehicles parked there may be towed to ensure emergency access. Finally, the glass recycling container has been returned close to its original location for added convenience.
-
Construction on the new boardwalk at the wetland crossing at Grass Lake Nature Park is set to begin this week. We anticipate the boardwalk will take at least six weeks to complete. Meanwhile, work on the wetland creation area is now finished, and our landscaping team is currently planting nearly 5,000 native plants in the new wetland area and the surrounding buffer zone. Stay tuned for further updates as the project progresses!

Please note that the Sunrise Park restroom is closed for the winter season starting today, Friday, November 1.
