Children ages 7 to 12 can learn about denizens of the deep during a winter break camp that will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 30 and 31 and Jan. 2 and 3 at Lyonia Environmental Center, 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona.
Campers will learn about fascinating fish, sensational sharks, and creepy crawlies as they take a deep dive into marine life and ocean levels. Activities will include nature hikes, games, experiments, science, and arts and crafts.

Lyonia Environmental Center offers insights into Volusia County's fragile ecosystems through hands-on displays and educational programs. It's part of the Deltona Regional Library complex at 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
