Women's Inspiration Network ERG Honored With 2024 Impact Spotlight Award

By Tatum Grubb / 08/21/2024 / Awards

This year, the Women's Inspiration Network (WIN) was presented with the Impact Spotlight Award by notable DE&I nonprofit, the Global ERG Network. The WIN Employee Resource Group (ERG), one of GM Financial's five Employee Resource Groups, exists to be a companywide space of learning and community for team members.

WIN is GM Financial's first established ERG and has nearly 1,600 members in its North America and International chapters combined. Through education, networking and community investment, WIN seeks to nurture a fair and equitable work environment for women. The ERG is a safe space for all genders to share stories and experiences about issues impacting women in the workplace.

Each year, the Global ERG Network selects Diversity Impact Awards honorees by assessing their strategies and progress in making the workplace a more diverse, equitable and inclusive space. Company culture is a core component of GM Financial's ongoing efforts toward this goal, and each of the company's ERGs cultivate opportunities for sharing diversity of thought, background, experience and skills.

"The Impact Spotlight Award affirms what we already know: Our ERGs are making a difference," said Shunda Robinson, SVP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at GM Financial.

"Each year, GM Financial's ERGs raise the bar and increase the breadth and depth of the positive impacts they have on each of their members," she said. "This recognition from the Global ERG Network serves as motivation for us to remain steadfast on our diversity journey."
