Lane Closure on S Rome Ave between W Jetton Ave and W Waterous Ave

Beginning at 9am today, the outside southbound lane on South Rome Avenue will be closed between West Jetton Avenue and West Waterous Avenue while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. Barricades and flaggers will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm each day and then close again the following morning at 9am to continue the work. Please use caution when driving in the area.

The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Tuesday, September 3. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
