HARRISBURG - State grants totaling $200,000 were awarded to improve outdoor recreation in Schuylkill County, according to Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107), who worked with local leaders to secure this funding.
"I'm very grateful that these dollars-this highly competitive funding-will improve opportunities for my constituents to enjoy the natural beauty of our area," said Argall.
"These grants bring valuable improvements to our local parks and trails, creating safe, accessible spaces for residents to enjoy," said Stehr. "Investing in recreational facilities and green spaces enhances our communities and supports a healthier, more connected lifestyle for everyone."
This funding was awarded through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program, which supports projects to improve parks, recreation, and conservation across Pennsylvania.
