Cambridge Police Department Assists in Federal Sex Trafficking Investigation
A Cambridge Police Department (CPD) detective assigned to a federal task force was instrumental in a federal investigation that led to an arrest in a sex trafficking case involving multiple states. The suspect, a Lowell man, was arrested on Friday, December 13, 2024, and charged with sex trafficking a victim in Massachusetts, Nevada, Rhode Island, and New York.
The case, initiated by one of CPD's detectives, later became a federal probe into a multi-state human trafficking. This work highlights the collaborative efforts between the Cambridge Police Department and its federal partners and how teamwork is essential in tackling complex crimes.
