Public Notice: Online Voter Registration Cancellation Portal Opens

Registered voters now have a web-based tool that will allow them to cancel voter registration when relocating or opting out. The Georgia Secretary of State's Elections Division recently unveiled an online voter registration cancellation portal.

The Voter Cancellation Request portal, https://cancelmyregistration.sos.ga.gov, streamlines the process and allows users to cancel their voter registration. Cancellation assists with maintaining accurate voter rolls. Users may cancel their voter registration in the following circumstances:

• No Longer Wish to be Registered to Vote in the State of Georgia
• Moved Out of State
• Related to a Voter Who is Deceased

Voters who wish to cancel their registration will simply access the site, enter their personal identifying information, and indicate that they wish to be removed from the list of registered voters. County voter registration officials will receive a notification through the Georgia Registered Voter Information System (GARViS) and remove the voter from the rolls.

Camden County residents wishing to register to vote or check voter registration status, may visit Georgia My Voter Page (MVP). The deadline to register to vote in the November 5, 2024 General Election is Monday, October 7, 2024. Advance Voting for the General Election begins on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
