On September 25 and 26, the Global Sustainable Transport Forum 2024, themed "Sustainable Transport: Logistics Connecting the World", was held in Beijing. Zheng Guoyu, president of China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post), attended the opening ceremony of the forum. On behalf of China Post, an executive from China Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd. addressed the thematic session "Connectivity - Strengthening Cooperation in Governance and Emergency Response, and Building Resilient International Logistics and Supply Chains", saying that China Post will continue to strengthen strategic cooperation with all types of enterprises and organizations both at home and abroad in promoting the construction of a community for international logistics and supply chains, and work together to create a safe and reliable global logistics and supply chain system.

In recent years, China Post has preliminarily established a safe and efficient international express and logistics network, developed an integrated service system for international mail, international commercial express and cross-border e-commerce cargo freight, and made remarkable achievements in supporting cross-border trade and facilitating the efficient and unimpeded flow of industrial and supply chains. In terms of international network construction, China Post, on the one hand, has strengthened collaboration and mutual support with various partners by expanding openness and cooperation, continuously improving the accessibility, stability and resilience of the global logistics network. In terms of postal channels, it has worked closely with the Posts of different countries through the multilateral platform of the Universal Postal Union, enabling its business reaching 174 gateways worldwide and over 220 countries and regions, and carrying out bilateral cooperation with the Posts in 65 countries. In terms of commercial channels, it has strengthened the construction of air channels, launched maritime routes, promoted the regular operation of the China-Europe freight train services, and secured cooperation with overseas commercial distribution channels. On the other hand, China Post has continuously reinforced its own network capacity, and increased investment in major fields and links. In terms of network hubs, it has promoted the development of a single hub air network into a multi-hub one. In terms of gateway capacity, China Post has fostered a diversified and complementary core gateway system integrating air and rail, sea and land transport. In terms of trunk routes, it has launched the intercontinental air route from Nanjing to Luxembourg, along with 20 maritime routes, 16 China-Europe freight train routes, and 32 other land transportation channels. Besides, China Post has also established 15 overseas warehouses in 12 countries and regions, which provided overseas warehousing and distribution services for more than 3,500 Chinese enterprises last year.

In order to better serve the international clients, China Post has continuously optimized its products and services, and driven transformation and upgrading of the integrated services of international mail, international commercial express and cross-border e-commerce cargo freight. China Post is fully licensed in financial services, and boasts innate resource advantages in the integrated flow of commodity, logistics, capital and information. It combines supply chain finance with logistics service to provide supply chain solutions, thereby effectively enhancing the resilience of industrial and supply chains.

As the "national team" in the express and logistics industry, China Post will strengthen cooperation with other parties in the future, actively participate in the reform and construction of the Universal Postal Union, and deepen the bilateral dialogue mechanism with other Posts. It will continue to promote multimodal transportation involving railway, sea, road and air. It will further expand cooperation with enterprises like Sinotrans Limited, and strengthen collaboration with local logistics and distribution companies abroad. It will also deepen integrated development with cross-border e-commerce platforms and manufacturing clients. Moreover, China Post will continue to reinforce the alignment with and establishment of international standards and rules, engage in data and information connectivity with various partners, and promote soft connectivity of rules and regulations.
