NOPD Arrests Three on Drug & Weapons Charges

The NOPD has arrested three subjects on various drug and weapons charges in a joint operation between the officers of the Second and Sixth Districts and members of the Violent Crime Abatement and Investigations Team, 'VCAIT'.

On August 21, 2024, officers noted suspicious activity in the 2900 Hamilton Street. Seven armed subjects were seen moving guns between vehicles.

Believing that a crime may be imminent, officers initiated a stop. Initially Five people were detained, and three were ultimately arrested.

Arrested are: Roy Hilton, Black male, DOB: 9/26/1998. He is charged with 2 counts of illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 2 counts of negligent carrying of a concealed handgun and one count of possession of a machine gun.

Raheem Brown, Black male, DOB: 4/2/2003 who is charged with negligent carrying of a concealed handgun, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, illegal carrying of a weapon while in the possession of narcotics, two charges of possession of Schedule II drugs-including Fentanyl and possession of drugs in a Drug Free Zone.

Royce Wilson, Black male, DOB: 2/22/2002 who is charged with two counts of drug possession and possession of drugs in a Drug Free Zone.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
