ALEXANDRIA, Minn. - Sanford Health Alexandria and Sanford Health Parkers Prairie has named Bill Skaden as the new director of operations.

Originally from Lewiston, Minn., Skaden earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Winona State University before obtaining dual master's degrees in business administration and health care administration from St. Mary's University. While at Winona State, he was an active member of the football team and began his career as a strength and conditioning coach in a health care sports medicine outreach department. Skaden also worked as a student resiliency specialist for Rochester Public Schools, connecting with at-risk youth. After earning his master's degree, he took a leadership role in the medical logistics industry in Rochester, Minn.

"I look forward to bringing my passion for exceptional rural health care to Alexandria and Parkers Prairie," said Skaden. "It is Sanford Health's mission to provide our residents and the surrounding communities with high-quality health care close to home."
