Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7900 Sunbury Street

September 3, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 7900 Sunbury Street about 6 a.m. on August 27.

The victim is identified as Jeremiah Standokes, 49.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Brown reported:

HPD officers responded to a person found deceased call near a transit bus stop at the above address and learned a male had been shot. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim, Mr. Standokes, deceased.

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
