City Council To Recognize Citizen Of The Month

Charity Organization Also To Be Recognized

The Las Vegas City Council will recognize the November 2024 Citizen of the Month at the Nov. 6, 2024, City Council meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

The November 2024 Citizen of the Month is Rabbi Yitz Wyne, founder and spiritual leader of Young Israel Aish of Las Vegas. Rabbi Wyne is an author as well as a talk show host and lives in Las Vegas with his wife and six children.

In addition, the City Council is scheduled to recognize Aryeh Avraham Rifkin, the president and founder of The Shabbat Inc. A 501c(3) non-profit organization, The Shabbat Inc., focuses on producing events that bring people together. The organization's goal is to bring peace and unity by reveling in joyous occasions.

The meeting will be broadcast live on cable channel 2, and at www.kclv.tv/live.

Public comment will be available for items on the agenda until 5 p.m. Nov. 5, at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcomment. Those wishing to comment on items on the council agenda are invited to do so online, or to attend the meeting in person and participate in the public comment periods.
