An evening of silent films with the Tanglewood Music Center's Silent Film Project, featuring TMC composers, conductors, and instrumentalists performing live scores to accompany short silent films by visionary filmmakers Maya Deren, Buster Keaton, and Larry Jordan.

Why should I go?
Tonight the Tanglewood Music Center brings its Silent Film Project to Brookline's iconic Coolidge Corner Theatre. The event includes silent films playing on the big screen, while composers and instrumentalists from Tanglewood perform their music live to score what's happening on screen. Tanglewood, in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of the country's most acclaimed music festivals and music academies and is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Presented by the Tanglewood Learning Institute in collaboration with the Coolidge Corner Theatre, the event also features a filmed performance of Lady of the Camellias, choreographed by Anthony Trudor for the New York City Ballet in 1951.
