“Helping Governments Achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030”

Universal health coverage (UHC) is about ensuring that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, has access to the quality health care they need without suffering financial hardship. It is key to achieving the World Bank's mission to end extreme poverty by 2030 and boost prosperity on a livable planet, and it is the driving force behind all of the WBG's health and nutrition investments. This seminar, to be held on the occasion of the visit by Juan Pablo Uribe, World Bank's Global Director for Health, Nutrition and Population, will introduce the World Bank's programs for achieving UHC. Also, at this seminar, Sachiko Imoto, Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will introduce JICA's programs, and the speakers will discuss how the World Bank and JICA can collaborate in this area.
