Deputy Ministers Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef and Jakub Wiśniewski held another meeting with think tank experts. Today's talks focused on Polish foreign policy and latest global developments.
The war in Ukraine was on the top of the agenda, along with prospects of freezing and protecting the front line and potential military presence in the territory of Ukraine. Security was also debated in the context of Europe as a whole and its working out of a common stance on major threats.
The participants spoke about the idea of drafting and implementing a joint position on China-EU economic relations within the European Union. The EU's greater involvement in the broad Global South was also discussed.
The attendees pointed out that Poland's presidency of the EU Council is a good opportunity for raising the topic of new positions and solutions on the enlargement policy in the Balkans on the EU level.
The role and importance of science diplomacy, which may serve as a medium of Poland's narrative internationally, were also stressed. Another subject discussed was cooperation between Polish and foreign think tanks.
