VFD Responds to Structure Fire on Northside Dr
On Monday, September 30th, 2024, at approximately 7:36 AMthe Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 916 Northside Drive. The first fire unit arrived within 3 minutes to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage of a single-family residence.
A total of eighteen fire personnel responded, quickly bringing the fire under control. No occupants were displaced and were able to remain in the residence. No injuries were reported.
Valdosta Police Department and SGMC Health assisted with on-scene operations. The cause of the fire was accidental via a candle.
