Maintenance Project This Weekend on Several Routes in Tioga County

Montoursville - Motorists in Tioga County are advised a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) contractor will be working along several roadways this weekend.

On Saturday, July 27, 2024 and Sunday, July 28, 2024, the contractor, Chase Enterprises, will be applying herbicide along the following roadways in Richmond, Rutland, and Sullivan townships:

  • Route 549
  • Route 1002 (Newtown Hill Road)
  • Route 1003 (Pickle Hill Road)
  • Route 1004 (Mill Creek Road)
  • Route 1005 (Pumpkin Hill Road)
  • Route 1008 (Ashley Hill Road)
  • Route 2022 (Old State Road)
  • Route 2027 (Canoe Camp Creek Road)


Motorists watch for single lane conditions with flagging or shoulder closures where work is being performed. Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
