Blackboard Ultra Sessions and Workshops
Learn more about Blackboard Ultra at UAA! UAA Instructional Design will start offering the Blackboard Ultra Course Conversion training again in late October. To help you make an informed decision about whether to convert your courses for spring 2025, there are a range of sessions and workshops to help you learn more about this upgraded version of Blackboard. Introduction to Blackboard Ultra
Oct. 1 - 15, preview the Ultra course view, explore some of the main differences between Original and Ultra, then learn about the training options for converting spring 2025 courses and beyond.

UAA Faculty Experience in Ultra: panel discussions
Friday, October 4, 1:00 - 2:45 p.m. on Zoom.
Faculty who are currently using Ultra will share their experiences converting courses and teaching in Ultra.
1:00 - 1:45 p.m.: Online - No Set Time (asynchronous) courses
2:00 - 2:45 p.m.: In Person, Online - Set Time, and hybrid courses
Communicating with Your Students in Ultra
Tuesday, October 8, 1:00 - 2:15 p.m. on Zoom.
This Anthology/Blackboard workshop will showcase Ultra's tools for communicating with students and encouraging peer interaction. Learn about some ways to improve student success in your course through effective communication!
Blackboard Ultra: New Features and Roadmap
Wednesday, October 9, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Zoom.
Ultra is continually improving in response to student feedback and faculty's requested features. This Anthology/Blackboard presentation will walk through some of the new features and talk about what's on the map for the next six months.
