Congratulations to the Business Analytics & Data Science programme participants!

Congratulations to the talented group of students who showcased their ability to integrate insights from business, mathematics, and computer science, successfully bridging these fields to drive business innovation!

On the final day of the part-time Business Analytics & Data Science Executive Education programme, participants presented pitches on how organizations can leverage data, analytics, machine learning, and AI. The jury, consisting of Sandjai Bhulai, Full Professor of Business Analytics; Sean Telg, Assistant professor at the Department of Econometrics and Data Science; and Frans Feldberg, Full Professor of Data-Driven Business Innovation at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation, was impressed by the level of passion and dedication with which the assignments were worked on.

The groups presented projects on a variety of topics, including:

• Making buildings more sustainable by examining the relationship between a building's energy label and users' energy consumption.
• Identifying the best ML model for predicting the right moment to phase out mobile network technologies (3G, 4G, 5G, etc.).
• Assessing the impact of generative AI on the business model of copywriters, including opportunities and threats.
• Reducing lead time for ground processes in KLM flight handling using a prediction model for departure delays.
• Exploring the potential of generative AI in optimizing the handling of objection procedures for legal affairs in the municipality of Amsterdam.
• Predicting trading card prices for Pokémon cards.
• Utilizing GenAI-driven lifestyle coaching to prevent obesity.
• Improving the adverse media screening process by reducing 'false positives.'
