County Adds Public EV Charging Stations in Ashburn, Leesburg and Round Hill

Loudoun County has installed new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for public use at four county facilities:

• Ashburn Library, 43316 Hay Road, Ashburn.
• Ashburn Senior Center, 20880 Marblehead Drive, Ashburn.
• Lucketts Community Center, 42361 Lucketts Road, Leesburg.
• Round Hill Aquatic Center, 17010 Evening Star Drive, Round Hill.

These stations will allow simultaneous charging of four vehicles at the Ashburn Library, four at the Ashburn Senior Center Senior Center, two vehicles at the Lucketts Community Center, and four vehicles at the Round Hill Aquatic Center. Publicly accessible EV chargers are an important part of Loudoun County's Energy Strategy implementation, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors.

Users of the EV charging stations will be charged $2.10 per session. A session begins when the vehicle is plugged into the EV charging station and ends when the plug is removed, or the charging process is complete. Payment can only be made at the charging station through a mobile app that is connected to a credit or debit card.

Additional publicly available charging stations and new locations are scheduled to come online over the next year. The county also offers EV charging stations at the Harmony Park and Ride lot, the county's two Metrorail parking garages, and at these county facilities:

• Bluemont Community Center, 33846 Snickersville Turnpike.
• Middleburg Library, 101 Reed St., Middleburg.
• Sterling Community Center, 120 Enterprise St., Sterling.
