Color, music, and the smell of food from different Hispanic countries filled Carolyn Crayton Park as people from different backgrounds and cultures came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The 3rd Annual Macon-Bibb Hispanic Festival was celebrated on Saturday, September 21.

"It was beautiful to see so many of our community members come together and just have a great time together," said Mayor Lester Miller. "We are so proud to have so many different cultures in Macon-Bibb and to see them shared with many of us."

The festival kicked off with a parade of people led by the Northeast High School Band. People enjoyed food trucks, craft vendors, folk dances, singing, and entertainment throughout the hot day.

"The Macon-Bibb Hispanic Festival was an incredible success this year, and we couldn't have done it without the unwavering support of Mayor Lester miller, his communication's team and our community," said Elizabeth Almena with NotiVisión Georgia. "We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsor, whose generous contribution helped make this celebration possible."

The festival was organized by NotiVisión Georgia, a Hispanic-owned media outlet, with support from Macon-Bibb County.

"We are immensely thankful to our vendors for their dedication and participation, bringing a variety of cultural experiences to life," said NotiVisión Georgia CEO Monica Pirela. "We also want to thank everyone who attended and welcomed the festival with open arms. Your enthusiasm and support made this festival truly special, and we can't wait to celebrate with you all again next year!"
